Nestled in the hills of Asokoro, Abuja, Sunrise Hills Estate is celebrated for its balance of safety, sustainability, and community. With 75% of its land preserved as green, it offers a rare harmony between nature and modern living.

Within this setting, Studio Contra reimagined a prototype home to create Rose Villa, a thoughtful transformation that unlocks greater connection to site, climate, and lifestyle.

What was once a conventional five-bedroom house has been refined into three expansive suites. The design opens the villa to natural light, fresh air, and a generous garden, creating spaces of calm and generosity.

Surrounded by over 200 plant species, five varieties of roses, and an orchard of fruit trees, the home is softened by nature at every turn. At its heart, a conservatory blurs the line between indoors and out, weaving greenery into daily life.

Inside, natural stone, timber, and fabric provide warmth and permanence, while curated planting grounds the home in a timeless identity—personal, enduring, and serene.

Rose Villa is more than a renovation, it is a reawakening.
